Video Poker is a favored game that usually will be enjoyed in casinos around the world, or alternatively at your house on your personal computer, through a net connection. The game of Video Poker begins when the player puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A 5 card hand will be electronically ‘distributed’ on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors should now choose which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the player would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the bettor has selected which cards she wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards will be needed they will be handed out. The hand is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Normally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the payment schedule can vary from game to game, so that skillful bettors are able to pick the most money-making machine every instance.
As soon as the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to stay on and try to to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that might have been won. Further, several versions of the game give the bettor an opportunity to double their wins, in which case another hand is played. There are also differences between individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
