Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be gambled on in casinos across the globe, or in your house on your computer, through a web connection. The rules are absolutely simple and involve the player attempting to achieve the highest combination of cards as you can in order to acquire cash. On this account it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the line of contact with other players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, like bluffing, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the enthusiast inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A 5 card hand will be "dealt" on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers should now choose which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the player wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the player has selected which cards he or she would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards are handed out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.

Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can vary from game to game, so that experienced enthusiasts are agile enough to select the most money-making ones every instance.

As soon as the first round has completed, the player can either decide to remain on and try to to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Additionally, some styles of the game give the player an opportunity to double their wins, in which instance another hand is played. There are also differences between individual machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
